WASHINGTON (AP) -- Governments across the world are scrambling to assess the startling images captured by one of the MetNet landers last week.
"We are looking very, very closely at these images" said NASA Administrator Michael Griffin during an interview yesterday. "However, the incredible resolution and image quality leaves little to the imagination. This is without a doubt a Martian city. With incredible architecture to boot."
It is currently unknown if this city is still inhabited. "It wouldn't surprise us in the least", he said.
The MetNet landers are part of the Phobos-Grunt mission, which launched in 2010.
This was made totally in terragen, hey i wish i could add a fractal within the terragen program. The only think i've ever done is combine 2 layers, one of terr and the other fract. But this one is just terr. The rocks spiked up like that because the elevation was too high for the terrain. Thanks for the favs and your commentage
You're welcome, and thank-you for getting back to me so quickly. I've never seen terrain like that on terragen before. It looks really cool! I've got my son, who is our family expert on Terragen, working on how to use fractals in it. He didn't believe me, at first, when I told him it could be done.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
